MEMBERS MARKET A Public Market for Private Golf 47 LOTS ON THE BOARD · JUL 27 – AUG 3, 2026 It's a big, coast-to-coast board this week, and the money at the top of it is playing defense. The marquee lot is a threesome at Winged Foot, and because the auction never says whether you'd be on the East or the West, we count it once for each — it's one lot, good for either course. Either way the bid is $6,000, or $2,000 a player, which lands under both of their averages: the West's $2,220 and the East's $2,130. Friar's Head carries the single biggest bid of the week at $2,583 a player, and even that's running 29% under its own $3,644 average. The names up top are all bidding soft, while down the board the smaller clubs are doing the exact opposite. Since that Winged Foot lot could land you on either course, we'll point you at the West. It's the more decorated of the two, 13th in the country and 4th in New York, and carries the deeper record with 21 recorded sales. Those sales swing hard, from $1,333 all the way to $5,000 a player, so the real price is whatever the room decides on a given night. This week's bid works out to $2,000 a player, 10% under the West's $2,220 average and 6% under the East's $2,130 — below the long-run number on either course. With sales this wide, though, the right room could still push it well higher before it closes on the 29th. Market InsightThe two widest gaps on the board are closing within a day of each other, and they point in opposite directions. GlenArbor is bidding $462 a player against a $190 average, 143% over and the biggest overshoot anywhere this week. Three time zones out, California's Tradition sits at $50 against an $849 average, a 94% discount and the widest gap the other way.
